3rd Annual Relay Recess

April 27, 2015

The students, families, and staff of FES raised approximately $1,600.00 for the American Cancer Society through school fundraising events and the special Relay Recess event where everyone "walked for a cure".

FES 4th graders, under the direction of master gardener volunteers, have created an impressive vegetable and flower garden. They hope to enjoy the fruits of their labor before the end of the school year. Our families are invited to stop by and see it when visiting the school.

A local photographer, Chandler Williams, of the Modus Photography Studio in Seaside, spoke with first graders in Mrs. Gardner's class and let each child practice taking a photo.
3rd & 4th grade students who at perfect attendance every day during FSA testing had their names entered into a drawing for 4 tablets. These lucky students were the winners!

Musicians from George Washington’s Continental Army, Donna Wissinger and Joy Myers, visited Freeport Elementary School and presented The World Turned Upside Down: Music and Stories of the American Revolution.  Students experienced stories from the Revolutionary War, and actively participated as patriots, loyalists, and courageous leaders in the world changing period of American History.

Many thanks to the Silver Sands Premium Outlets for their sponsorship of this program.
